I2PP2A(β), also termed TAF-1, inhibits protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) potently with ki ~ 0.1 - 0.5 nm with myelin basic protein, histone H1 and other substrates but not with casein. It stimulates PP1 and regulates histone binding to DNA, transcriptional activity and chromatin condensation
