Recombinant Mouse Interleukin 1 Receptor, Type II

Description

Interleukin 1 receptor type II (IL1R2), also known as CD121b (Cluster of Differentiation 121b), is a transmembrane protein found on B lymphocytes, neutrophils, monocytes, large granular leukocytes and endothelial cells. It is a decoy receptor known for its ability to buffer IL-1 effects. IL-1RII is involved in the control of the proinflammatory state that takes place in the endometrium during the premenstrual and menstrual periods. IL-1RII can neutralize IL-1 beta and counteract its effect on endometrial stromal cells, and may provide a new clinical strategy for the treatment of endometriosis
