SOX18 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein SRY-box transcription factor 18, which is encoded by the SOX18 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to be a transcriptional activator that binds to the consensus sequence 5'-AACAAAG-3' in the promoter of target genes and plays an essential role in embryonic cardiovascular development and lymphangiogenesis. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 384 residues and a mass of 40.9 kDa. It is known to be localized in the nucleus and is notably expressed in fetal lung, placenta, skeletal muscle, liver, kidney, spleen, prostate, ovary, msosmall intestine and colon. The SOX18 gene has been associated with the disease, Hypotrichosis-lymphedema-telangiectasia syndrome. Other alias names for this target include HLTS, transcription factor SOX-18, SRY (sex determining region Y)-box 18, SRY-box 18, and HLTRS.
Some SOX18 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 7 ng/L and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
