MAF1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein MAF1 homolog, negative regulator of RNA polymerase III, which is encoded by the MAF1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to play a role in in the repression of RNA polymerase III-mediated transcription in response to changing nutritional, environmental and cellular stress conditions to balance the production of highly abundant tRNAs, 5S rRNA, and other small non-coding RNAs with cell growth and maintenance. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 256 residues, a mass of 28.8 kDa, and is a member of the MAF1 protein family. It is known to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally sumoylated and phosphorylated. Other alias names for this target include MAF1 negative regulator of RNA polymerase III, homolog of yeast MAF1, and repressor of RNA polymerase III transcription MAF1 homolog.
Some MAF1 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
