These CLEC8A ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of CLEC8A in biological samples. CLEC8A is an alias of the human OLR1 gene, which encodes the protein, oxidized low density lipoprotein receptor 1. Notably, CLEC8A is known to play a role in inflammatory response pathways and proteolysis, among other functions. The OLR1 protein is 273 amino acid residues in length and 31 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 3 protein isoforms have been identified. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and is secreted. In terms of tissue specificity, it is notably expressed at high level in endothelial cells and vascular-rich organs such as placenta, lung, liver and brain, aortic intima, bone marrow, spinal cord and substantia nigra. This protein is known to be N-glycosylated. Other names for this target antigen include LOX1.
