There are a number of ELISA Kits available for the measurement of GPDM, another term for the human protein, glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase 2. Other synonyms may include: glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase mitochondrial, GPD-M, GPDH-M, glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase 2 (mitochondrial), mtGPD, testicular tissue protein Li 76, and GPDM. It is encoded by the GPD2 gene to yield a protein 727 amino acids in length and 80.9 kDa in size. However, there are up to 2 reported isoforms. The protein is categorized into the FAD-dependent glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase family. Versions of GPDM are present in other organisms, including: Mouse, Rat, Yeast, Zebrafish, Frog, Chicken.
