ALK5 ELISA Kits

These ALK5 ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of ALK5 in biological samples. ALK5 is an alias of the human TGFBR1 gene, which encodes the protein, transforming growth factor beta receptor 1. Notably, ALK5 is known to play a role in the apoptotic pathway, among other functions. The TGFBR1 protein is 503 amino acid residues in length and 56 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 3 protein isoforms have been identified. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to be found in all tissues examined, most abundant in placenta and least abundant in the brain and heart. This protein is known to be N-glycosylated, ubiquitinated and phosphorylated. Other names for this target antigen include AAT5, ACVRLK4, and ALK-5.
