The A33 ELISA kits listed below are analytical tools for measuring concentrations of A33 in various samples. A33 is an alternative name for the human GPA33 gene, which encodes the protein, glycoprotein A33. The target protein is believed to play a role in cell-cell recognition and signaling. Structurally, the GPA33 protein is described to be 319 amino acid residues in length and 35.6 kilodaltons in mass. It is localized to the membrane of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to be expressed in normal gastrointestinal epithelium and in 95% of colon cancers. This protein is known to be N-glycosylated and palmitoylated. Other names for this target antigen include cell surface A33 antigen and glycoprotein A33 (transmembrane).
