THEMIS2 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein thymocyte selection associated family member 2, which is encoded by the THEMIS2 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is believed to constitute a control point in macrophage inflammatory response, promoting LPS-induced TLR4-mediated TNF production. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 643 residues, a mass of 72 kDa, and is a member of the Themis protein family. It is known to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm and is reported to be expressed in different endometrial adenocarcinoma cell lines and various other cell lines apart from the prostate cell line LNCaP and the ovarian cancer cell line BG1. As many as 6 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally phosphorylated. Other alias names for this target include ICB-1, ICB1, protein THEMIS2, basement membrane-induced, induced by contact to basement membrane 1 protein, and C1orf38.
