Notably, RO52 is known to play a role in the cell cycle and innate immune responses, among other functions. The TRIM21 protein is 475 amino acid residues in length and 54.2 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 2 protein isoforms have been identified. It is localized to the nucleus, cytoplasmic vesicles, and cytoplasm of the cell. This protein is known to be ubiquitinated.
