GAS8 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein growth arrest specific 8, which is encoded by the GAS8 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a known component of the nexin-dynein regulatory complex (N-DRC), a key regulator of ciliary/flagellar motility which maintains the alignment and integrity of the distal axoneme and regulates microtubule sliding in motile axonemes. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 478 residues, a mass of 56.4 kDa, and is a member of the DRC4 protein family. It is known to be localized in the golgi and cytoplasm and is reported to be expressed in respiratory epithelial cells. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The GAS8 gene has been associated with the disease, Ciliary dyskinesia. Other alias names for this target include DRC4, GAS11, dynein regulatory complex subunit 4, GAS-11, epididymis secretory sperm binding protein, and CILD33.
Some GAS8 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
