SMAGP ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein small cell adhesion glycoprotein, which is encoded by the SMAGP gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is believed to play a role in epithelial cell-cell contacts. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 97 residues, a mass of 10.7 kDa, and is a member of the SMAGP protein family. It is known to be localized in the cytoplasmic vesicles and cell membrane and is notably expressed in breast, endometrium, colon and biliary tract. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally O-glycosylated.
