These NFIL6 ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of NFIL6 in biological samples. NFIL6 is an alias of the human CEBPB gene, which encodes the protein, CCAAT enhancer binding protein beta. Notably, NFIL6 is known to play a role in brown fat cell differentiation and the cellular response to lipopolysaccharides, among other functions. The CEBPB protein is described to be 345 amino acid residues in length and 36.1 kilodaltons in mass. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to be expressed at low levels in the lung, kidney and spleen. This protein is known to be methylated, O-glycosylated, ubiquitinated, sumoylated, acetylated and phosphorylated. Other names for this target antigen include C/EBP-beta, IL6DBP, and NF-IL6.
