G6PC2 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein glucose-6-phosphatase catalytic subunit 2, which is encoded by the G6PC2 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is believed to hydrolyze glucose-6-phosphate to glucose in the endoplasmic reticulum. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 355 residues, a mass of 40.6 kDa, and is a member of the Glucose-6-phosphatase protein family. It is known to be localized in the ER and is notably expressed in pancreas and also detected to a lower extent in testis. As many as 3 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally N-glycosylated. Other alias names for this target include G-6-Pase 2, G6Pase 2, glucose-6-phosphatase, catalytic, 2, islet-specific G6CP-related protein, and glucose-6-phosphatase 2.
The detection range for different G6PC2 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
