SYT14 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein synaptotagmin 14, which is encoded by the SYT14 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is suspected to be involved in the trafficking and exocytosis of secretory vesicles in non-neuronal tissues. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 555 residues, a mass of 62.3 kDa, and is a member of the Synaptotagmin protein family. It is known to be localized in the membrane and is reported to be highly expressed in fetal and adult brain tissue. As many as 7 protein isoforms have been reported. The SYT14 gene has been associated with the disease, Spinocerebellar ataxia. Other alias names for this target include synaptotagmin XIV.
The detection range for different SYT14 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 5 ng/L and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
