It is known to be localized in the nucleus and is reported to be expressed in bone marrow and fetal liver, but also detectable in fetal spleen, fetal thymus, and testes. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The GFI1B gene has been associated with the disease, Bleeding disorder.
