ABCA4 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein ATP binding cassette subfamily A member 4, which is encoded by the ABCA4 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be involved in the metabolism of lipids and transmembrane transport. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 2273 residues, a mass of 255.9 kDa, and is a member of the ABCA protein family. It is known to be localized in the cytoplasmic vesicles, ER, and membrane and is reported to have retinal-specific expression. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally N-glycosylated, cleaved and phosphorylated. The ABCA4 gene has been associated with the disease, Stargardt disease. Other alias names for this target include ABCR, ARMD2, CORD3, FFM, RMP, RP19, STGD, and ABC10.
The detection range for different ABCA4 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 78 pg/mL and as high as 20 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
