FGGY ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein FGGY carbohydrate kinase domain containing, which is encoded by the FGGY gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to catalyze ATP-dependent phosphorylation of D-ribulose at C-5 to form D-ribulose 5-phosphate. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 551 residues, a mass of 60 kDa, and is a member of the FGGY kinase protein family. It is reported to be expressed in kidney, lung and small intestine and to a lower extent in liver and detected in cerebrospinal fluid. As many as 6 protein isoforms have been reported. The FGGY gene has been associated with the disease, Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Other alias names for this target include D-ribulokinase, D-ribulokinase FGGY, and FGGY carbohydrate kinase domain-containing protein.
Some FGGY ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
