NF1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein neurofibromin 1, which is encoded by the NF1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be involved in cytoskeleton organization and angiogenesis. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 2839 residues and a mass of 319.4 kDa. It is known to be localized in the nucleus and cell membrane and is notably expressed in the brain, peripheral nerve, lung, colon and muscle. As many as 6 protein isoforms have been reported. The NF1 gene has been associated with the disease, Neurofibromatosis. Other alias names for this target include VRNF, WSS, neurofibromin, neurofibromatosis 1, neurofibromatosis-related protein NF-1, and NFNS.
Some NF1 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 20 ng/L and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
