NOX4 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein NADPH oxidase 4, which is encoded by the NOX4 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be involved in cardiac muscle cell differentiation and carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 578 residues and a mass of 66.9 kDa. It is known to be localized in the ER and cell membrane and is noted to be expressed by distal tubular cells in kidney cortex and in endothelial cells. As many as 9 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally N-glycosylated. Other alias names for this target include KOX-1, RENOX, kidney oxidase-1, kidney superoxide-producing NADPH oxidase, renal NAD(P)H-oxidase, and KOX.
The detection range for different NOX4 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 5 ng/L and as high as 60 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
