SSBP1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein single stranded DNA binding protein 1, which is encoded by the SSBP1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to bind preferentially and cooperatively to pyrimidine rich single-stranded DNA (ss-DNA). The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 148 residues and a mass of 17.3 kDa. It is known to be localized in the mitochondria and is reported to be expressed in retinal ganglion cells, photoreceptors, pigmented epithelium and fibroblasts. The SSBP1 gene has been associated with the disease, Optic atrophy 13 with retinal and foveal abnormalities. Other alias names for this target include OPA13, SOSS-B1, SSBP, mtSSB, single-stranded DNA-binding protein, mitochondrial, and Mt-SSB.
There are SSBP1 ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 15 ng/L and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
