SSB ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein small RNA binding exonuclease protection factor La, which is encoded by the SSB gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to bind to the 3' poly(U) terminus of nascent RNA polymerase III transcripts, protecting them from exonuclease digestion and facilitating their folding and maturation. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 408 residues and a mass of 46.8 kDa. It is known to be localized in the nucleus. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally phosphorylated. Other alias names for this target include La, La/SSB, lupus La protein, La ribonucleoprotein domain family, member 3, SS-B/La protein, and LARP3.
The detection range for different SSB ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 15 ng/L and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
