CHMP4C ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein charged multivesicular body protein 4C, which is encoded by the CHMP4C gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a suspected core component of the endosomal sorting required for transport complex III (ESCRT-III) which is involved in multivesicular bodies (MVBs) formation and sorting of endosomal cargo proteins into MVBs. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 233 residues, a mass of 26.4 kDa, and is a member of the SNF7 protein family. It is known to be localized in the membrane and cytoplasm and is found to be expressed in heart, spleen and kidney. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally phosphorylated. Other alias names for this target include Snf7 homologue associated with Alix 3, chromatin modifying protein 4C, chromatin-modifying protein 4c, hSnf7-3, hVps32-3, and SNF7 homolog associated with Alix 3.
