GLB1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein galactosidase beta 1, which is encoded by the GLB1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be involved in carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis and the metabolism of lipids. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 677 residues, a mass of 76.1 kDa, and is a member of the Glycosyl hydrolase 35 protein family. It is known to be localized in the lysosomes and cytoplasm and is notably expressed in placenta. As many as 3 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated. The GLB1 gene has been associated with the disease, GM1-gangliosidosis. Other alias names for this target include ELNR1, MPS4B, beta-galactosidase, acid beta-galactosidase, elastin binding protein, and EBP.
There are GLB1 ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 3.13 pg/mL and as high as 150 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
