SPAG8 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein sperm associated antigen 8, which is encoded by the SPAG8 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to play a role in in spermatogenesis by enhancing the binding of CREM isoform tau to its coactivator FHL5 and increasing the FHL5-regulated transcriptional activation of CREM isoform tau (By similarity). The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 485 residues, a mass of 51.1 kDa, and is a member of the SPAG8 protein family. It is known to be localized in the nucleus, cytoplasmic vesicles, and cytoplasm and is reported to be expressed in testis (germ cells), but not in liver, kidney, prostate and small intestine. As many as 3 protein isoforms have been reported. Other alias names for this target include BS-84 and CILD28.
There are SPAG8 ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
