SORT1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein sortilin 1, which is encoded by the SORT1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to function as a sorting receptor in the Golgi compartment and as a clearance receptor on the cell surface. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 831 residues, a mass of 92.1 kDa, and is a member of the VPS10-related sortilin protein family. It is known to be localized in the nucleus, ER, golgi, lysosomes, and cell membrane and is reported to be expressed in the brain and prostate. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated, palmitoylated, cleaved and phosphorylated. Other alias names for this target include LDLCQ6, NT3, NTR3, sortilin, 100 kDa NT receptor, glycoprotein 95, neurotensin receptor 3, and Gp95.
The detection range for different SORT1 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 2 ng/L and as high as 200 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
