ALKAL1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein ALK and LTK ligand 1, which is encoded by the ALKAL1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a reported cytokine that acts as a physiological ligand for receptor tyrosine kinase LTK, leading to its activation. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 129 residues, a mass of 14.3 kDa, and is a member of the ALKAL protein family. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane and is secreted and is reported to be widely expressed with highest levels in thyroid and moderate levels in stomach, trachea, small intestine, prostate and brain. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. Other alias names for this target include RPLK9433, augmentor beta, augmentor-alpha, family with sequence similarity 150 member A, protein FAM150A, and AUG-beta.
