ALKAL2 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein ALK and LTK ligand 2, which is encoded by the ALKAL2 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a reported cytokine that acts as a physiological ligand for receptor tyrosine kinases LTK and ALK, leading to their activation. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 152 residues, a mass of 16.9 kDa, and is a member of the ALKAL protein family. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane and is secreted and is reported to be widely expressed with highest levels in adrenal gland and modest levels in pancreas, testis and uterus. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. Other alias names for this target include augmentor alpha, augmentor-beta, family with sequence similarity 150 member B, protein FAM150B, and AUG-alpha.
The detection range for different ALKAL2 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 50 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
