NF2 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein NF2, moesin-ezrin-radixin like (MERLIN) tumor suppressor, which is encoded by the NF2 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a suspected regulator of the Hippo/SWH (Sav/Wts/Hpo) signaling pathway, a signaling pathway that plays a pivotal role in tumor suppression by restricting proliferation and promoting apoptosis. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 595 residues and a mass of 69.7 kDa. It is known to be localized in the nucleus and membrane and is widely expressed across many tissue types. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally ubiquitinated and phosphorylated. The NF2 gene has been associated with the disease, Neurofibromatosis. Other alias names for this target include BANF, SCH, merlin-1, merlin, bilateral acoustic neurofibromatosis, and ACN.
The detection range for different NF2 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 15 ng/L and as high as 20 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
