ELF5 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein E74 like ETS transcription factor 5, which is encoded by the ELF5 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to be a transcriptionally activator that may play a role in regulating the later stages of keratinocytes terminal differentiation. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 265 residues, a mass of 31.3 kDa, and is a member of the ETS protein family. It is known to be localized in the nucleus and is found to be preferentially expressed in tissues with a high content of epithelial cells. As many as 4 protein isoforms have been reported. Other alias names for this target include ETS-related transcription factor Elf-5, E74-like factor 5 (ets domain transcription factor), epithelium-restricted ESE-1-related Ets factor, epithelium-specific Ets transcription factor 2, and ESE2.
