RUBCN ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein rubicon autophagy regulator, which is encoded by the RUBCN gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to inhibit PIK3C3 activity; under basal conditions negatively regulates PI3K complex II (PI3KC3-C2) function in autophagy. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 972 residues and a mass of 108.6 kDa. It is known to be localized in the lysosomes. As many as 3 protein isoforms have been reported. The RUBCN gene has been associated with the disease, Spinocerebellar ataxia. Other alias names for this target include RUBICON, SCAR15, run domain Beclin-1-interacting and cysteine-rich domain-containing protein, RUN and cysteine rich domain containing beclin 1 interacting protein, and KIAA0226.
The detection range for different RUBCN ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 0.31 ng/mL and as high as 20 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
