CARNMT1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein carnosine N-methyltransferase 1, which is encoded by the CARNMT1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a reported N-methyltransferase that catalyzes the formation of anserine (beta-alanyl-N(Pi)-methyl-L-histidine) from carnosine. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 409 residues, a mass of 47.2 kDa, and is a member of the Carnosine N-methyltransferase protein family. It is known to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm and is noted to be expressed at higher level in kidney. Other alias names for this target include carnosine N-methyltransferase and UPF0586 protein C9orf41.
The detection range for different CARNMT1 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
