SPO11 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein SPO11 initiator of meiotic double stranded breaks, which is encoded by the SPO11 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a known component of the topoisomerase 6 complex specifically required for meiotic recombination. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 396 residues, a mass of 44.5 kDa, and is a member of the TOP6A protein family. It is known to be localized in the nucleus and is reported to be highly expressed in testis. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported.
