SPESP1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein sperm equatorial segment protein 1, which is encoded by the SPESP1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be involved in fertilization ability of sperm. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 350 residues, a mass of 38.9 kDa, and is a member of the SPESP1 protein family. It is known to be localized in the cytoplasmic vesicles and is reported to be highly expressed in testis, where it is localized in the acrosome of postmeiotic stages of spermiogenesis (round and elongating spermatids and in ejaculated spermatozoa). The protein has been noted to be post-translationally N-glycosylated. Other alias names for this target include equatorial segment protein and glycosylated 38 kDa sperm protein C-7/8.
Some SPESP1 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
