The GEP ELISA kits listed below utilize specific antibodies for the plate-based assay of GEP in various samples. GEP is another term for the GRN gene, which encodes the protein, granulin precursor in humans. The target protein is known to be important for RNA polymerase III to make a number of small nuclear and cytoplasmic RNAs, including 5S RNA, tRNA, and adenovirus-associated (VA) RNA of both cellular and viral origin. Structurally, the GRN protein is 593 amino acid residues in length and 63.5 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 3 protein isoforms have been identified. It is localized to the lysosomes and is secreted of the cell.
There are GEP ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 12.35 pg/mL and as high as 1000 pg/mL. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
