FGFR2 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein fibroblast growth factor receptor 2, which is encoded by the FGFR2 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to be a tyrosine-protein kinase that acts as cell-surface receptor for fibroblast growth factors and plays an essential role in the regulation of cell proliferation, differentiation, migration and apoptosis, and in the regulation of embryonic development. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 821 residues, a mass of 92 kDa, and is a member of the Tyr protein kinase protein family. It is known to be localized in the cytoplasmic vesicles, golgi, and cell membrane. As many as 17 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally N-glycosylated, ubiquitinated and phosphorylated. The FGFR2 gene has been associated with the disease, Crouzon syndrome. Other alias names for this target include BEK, BFR-1, CD332, CEK3, CFD1, ECT1, JWS, and BBDS.
The detection range for different FGFR2 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 1.25 pg/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
