Anti-PLT antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PLT antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the NAAA gene, which encodes N-acylethanolamine acid amidase. This protein is known to function in fatty acid metabolism and the metabolism of lipids, among other biological roles. The human version of PLT has a canonical amino acid length of 359 residues and a protein mass of 40.1 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the lysosomes and membrane of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the colon, tonsil, and breast. This target antigen may also be known as ASAHL. Indicated applications for PLT antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunohistochemistry.
