Anti-HsRad51 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The HsRad51 antigen is another term for the human protein RAD51 recombinase, encoded by the RAD51 gene. The protein is known to play an important role in homologous strand exchange, a key step in DNA repair through homologous recombination (HR). Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 339 residues and a mass of 37 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus, mitochondria, and cytoplasm and it is reported to be highly expressed in the testis and thymus, followed by small intestine, placenta, colon, pancreas and ovary. The HsRad51 protein is a member of the RecA protein family. Other alias names for HsRad51 include BRCC5, FANCR, and HRAD51. Western Blot is a widely used application for the HsRad51 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
