Anti-TMEM111 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the TMEM111 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the EMC3 gene, which encodes ER membrane protein complex subunit 3. This protein is known to be a part of the endoplasmic reticulum membrane protein complex (EMC) that enables the energy-independent insertion into endoplasmic reticulum membranes of newly synthesized membrane proteins. The human version of TMEM111 has a canonical amino acid length of 261 residues and a protein mass of 30 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the ER of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. TMEM111 is a member of the EMC3 protein family.
