Anti-Dynamitin antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Dynamitin antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the DCTN2 gene, which encodes dynactin subunit 2. This protein is known to be a part of the dynactin complex that activates the molecular motor dynein for ultra-processive transport along microtubules. The human version of Dynamitin has a canonical amino acid length of 401 residues and a protein mass of 44.2 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the membrane and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include DCTN50 and HEL-S-77. Western Blot is the most common application for the Dynamitin antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
