Anti-Gremlin antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Gremlin antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the GREM1 gene, which encodes gremlin 1, DAN family BMP antagonist. This protein is known to function in organ morphogenesis and the apoptotic pathway, among other biological roles. The human version of Gremlin has a canonical amino acid length of 184 residues and a protein mass of 20.7 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be a secreted protein. Other names for this target antigen include C15DUPq, CKTSF1B1, and CRAC1. Western Blot is the most common application for the Gremlin antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
