Anti-COA4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein cytochrome c oxidase assembly factor 4 homolog. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 87 amino acid residues and a mass of 10.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. It is a member of the COA4 protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include CMC3, E2IG2, cytochrome c oxidase assembly factor 4 homolog, mitochondrial, E2-induced gene 2 protein, and CHCHD8. COA4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some COA4 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunofluorescence is also a common application.
