Anti-TMEM117 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein transmembrane protein 117. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 514 amino acid residues and a mass of 60.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. A member of the TMEM117 protein family, TMEM117 is known to be involved in endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress-induced cell death pathway. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. TMEM117 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some TMEM117 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
