Anti-SLC30A4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein solute carrier family 30 member 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 429 amino acid residues and a mass of 47.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the endosome and lysosomes. A member of the Cation diffusion facilitator (CDF) transporter (TC 2.A.4) protein family, SLC30A4 is a suspected proton-coupled zinc ion antiporter mediating zinc import from cytoplasm potentially into the endocytic compartment. Synonyms for this target antigen include znT-4, probable proton-coupled zinc antiporter SLC30A4, solute carrier family 30 (zinc transporter), member 4, zinc transporter 4, and ZNT4. SLC30A4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some SLC30A4 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
