Anti-MAK3 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the MAK3 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the NAA50 gene, which encodes N-alpha-acetyltransferase 50, NatE catalytic subunit. This protein is a reported N-alpha-acetyltransferase that acetylates the N-terminus of proteins that retain their initiating methionine. The human version of MAK3 has a canonical amino acid length of 169 residues and a protein mass of 19.4 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. MAK3 is a member of the Acetyltransferase protein family. Indicated applications for MAK3 antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
