Anti-DNC antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target DNC is a known alias name of the protein solute carrier family 25 member 19, encoded by the SLC25A19 gene in humans. This 320-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in metabolic processes, among other biological processes. It is localized to the mitochondria of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in all tissues examined except for placenta. ELISA and Western Blot are common applications for DNC antibodies.
