Anti-TMAP antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target TMAP is a known alias name of the protein cytoskeleton associated protein 2, encoded by the CKAP2 gene in humans. This 683-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the apoptotic pathway and cell division, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in the testis, thymus, and in tumor derived cell lines, while barely detectable in the liver, prostate, and kidney. Other synonyms for TMAP include LB1 and LB1. Some TMAP antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Indicated applications for the antibodies listed below include ELISA and Immunohistochemistry.
