Anti-Xin antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Xin antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the XIRP1 gene, which encodes xin actin binding repeat containing 1. The human version of Xin has a canonical amino acid length of 1843 residues and a protein mass of 198.6 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell junctions of cells and notably expressed in the heart muscle. Xin is a member of the Xin protein family.
