Anti-TMEM245 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein transmembrane protein 245. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 879 amino acid residues and a mass of 97.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. It is a member of the Autoinducer-2 exporter (AI-2E) (TC 2.A.86) protein family. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include CG-2, CG2, protein CG-2, transmembrane protein C9orf5, and C9orf5. TMEM245 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Immunofluorescence is the most common application for the TMEM245 antibodies listed below. Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
