Anti-SLC35G1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein solute carrier family 35 member G1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 365 amino acid residues and a mass of 39.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER and cell membrane. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. A member of the TMEM20 protein family, SLC35G1 is believed to play a role in intracellular calcium sensing and homeostasis. Synonyms for this target antigen include partner of STIM1 and transmembrane protein 20. SLC35G1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
